L'Éclipse, the single VALOIR gown

DOSSIER Nº 001 / PIÈCE UNIQUE

L'Éclipse

Reported lost. Now recovered.

NOT FOR SALE

Cut once, from the last bolt of a silk satin that no mill weaves anymore. The pattern was burned. The atelier kept no copy. There is — and will only ever be — one.

The story

For years it was spoken of only in rumours: a black gown seen once in Lisbon, then gone. Collectors searched for it. Some said it never existed.

It was found sealed in a crate in the atelier archive, wrapped in unbleached linen, untouched. We decided it would never be sold in a shop.
